Thermal-Cool, Inc. provides air diagnostics, duct sealing, designbuild projects and HVAC controls systems. Founded in 1988 in Riverside, Calif. by Dennis Couch, Thermal-Cool’s roots have stayed in the area ever since.

Factory-trained and certified technicians work out of fully stocked service trucks, which eliminate many costly and time consuming trips chasing parts. Throughout its 20 years in business, Thermal-Cool has acquired numerous contacts in all areas of construction, and through those contacts, it has an endless supply of knowledge and resources in the field. A state-of-the-art computerized customer database and dispatching ensures prompt response to each customer’s needs, and its full-service sheet metal shop can meet the needs of any custom job.

In addition to being the experts in commercial applications, Thermal-Cool provides services for many of the local businesses. Thermal-Cool is a community-based business and continually gives back to its community whenever possible, including donating to Ronald McDonald House Charities®, Sherman Indian High School and the Fontana girls’ softball team.

Thermal-Cool provided a Ronald McDonald House® with a new, donated ice machine when the old one broke, advising the Ronald McDonald House® that it would cost more to repair the old ice machine than it was worth. Thermal-Cool also provides ongoing maintenance to the HVAC equipment there, on a twice a year schedule. Recently, Thermal-Cool also replaced a building’s ten 20-ton air conditioning units that were still in operation. No unit could be offline for more than eight hours while replacing the equipment. Thermal-Cool’s preparation, scheduling, and ability to work efficiently with all parties brought the project in on time and on budget.

Additionally, Thermal-Cool was instrumental in converting an existing customer’s facility from a mechanical fluid-cooled system to an air cooled direct expansion (DX) system, after the space was converted into office space from manufacturing space.

With its extensive experience and quality service, Thermal-Cool always leaves its clients more than satisfied. According to Patricia Gagnier, President of Gagnier Construction, her company has worked with Thermal-Cool on more than 50 projects and it has always completed its work in a timely manner and within budget. Another testimonial comes from Tanya Hadden, Project Administrator for Western Pacific Resort Development, who says, "[Thermal-Cool’s] field staff is knowledgable and skilled, and provides rapid response to problems." Janice Pillow, CFO of RDP/SCI, Inc., agrees and says, "[Thermal-Cool] fit in well with our [team-oriented] attitude...[and] showed a willingness to be a part of the team."

Thermal-Cool also plans for the future. Recently, Thermal-Cool assisted its local utility company in a trial program for duct sealing and energy savings using state-of-the-art equipment designed by the University of California - Berkley. The entire project was a great success, and Thermal-Cool was one of the first companies in Southern California to implement this technology.

"Our biggest strengths are the ability to adapt to change and work with all trades to get the job done on time and on budget," says Dennis Couch, President of Thermal-Cool. "We do everything in our power to bring the projects in on time by staffing the projects with qualified people and supervision. We [also] make sure all equipment is ordered in ample time through our purchasing department."

Thermal-Cool, Inc. is member of the Better Business Bureau, Refrigeration Service Engineers Society, Air Conditioning Contractors of America, and the National Association of Women in Construction. Thermal-Cool’s strong belief in providing quality services at reasonable prices has made the company grow. It is a true professional that can handle any HVAC job. "Our mission statement says it all," says Couch. "Everything we do is dedicated to the health, comfort and safety of our clients and employees."
